Political Networks Conference (POLNET) 2015

Wireless Internet Access

All participants will have access to wireless internet ("PSU Guest"). There is no username/password.

Presentation Times

Presentations should be delivered in the order indicated on the program, unless all members of the panel agree otherwise. Each presenter will have the amount of time in the session, divided by the number of presenters, to give a presentation and take questions. Question and answer should take place after each presentation, rather than at the end of the session. Panel chairs are in charge of timing. Each room will have a projector and a laptop; please bring a USB key or other method of transferring your presentation to the laptop.

Meals

Breakfast: A continental breakfast is available in the University Grill Restaurant for hotel guests.

Lunch: Lunch will be provided each day of the workshops and conference; heavy appetizers will be provided for each evening reception. Lunch will be provided for workshop and conference registrants in the Willamette Ballroom. There are various locations within the building to eat. Participants should also feel free to eat where they like, with the exception of Friday’s mentoring lunch (which will have assigned seating). Note: The mentoring lunch will be held on Friday, June 19 from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Table assignments will be provided, and are intended to match senior participants with more junior participants. Please be sure to sit at the appropriate table.

Breaks: Snacks, coffee, tea, and water will be provided outside the Columbia Falls rooms between 10:30–11:00 and after the first afternoon session each day.

Receptions: Receptions with heavy hors d’oeuvres will take place on Thursday evening after the opening plenary (Opening Reception), on Friday (Poster Reception) and on Saturday afternoon after the last panel session (Closing Reception). Wine is $6 and microbrews are $4; each participant will receive one free drink ticket per reception.

Workshop Software

Required and suggested software packages for workshops will be posted to the Workshops page by Monday, June 15.

Poster Session

Participants in the poster session staying off-site are advised to bring their posters to the conference on Friday morning, as there may not be time to return to the hotel before the poster session. Poster set up at the Willamette Falls Ballroom begins at approximately 4:15 pm. Participants will be provided with an assigned half of an 8'x4' board (see program for board number).
