2023 Call for Papers (Fall)

PNOC Call for Papers for Fall 2023

We are pleased to invite proposals to the Political Networks Online Colloquium, which will be held monthly during the fall 2023 semester.

The Colloquium aims to bring together a community of scholars to provide feedback on ongoing research about political networks. Each month we will meet for one hour to discuss one paper, which will be assigned two discussants. To encourage audience participation, the Colloquium will have a read-ahead format with no presentation.

We are now accepting paper proposals. We welcome the participation of researchers in political science or related fields—including sociology, communication, psychology, public policy, and computer science. We seek proposals for papers that make a theoretical or empirical contribution to the analysis of political networks or that present a novel application of network analysis, across a broad range of subfields and methodologies. Early drafts, dissertation chapters, or pre-analysis plans are welcome. Priority will be given to papers that are more developed and closer to being ready to submit for review, but papers at all stages will be considered.

Proposals can be submitted online via the following link:

Paper proposals for our first meeting will be accepted until September 25, 2023.  We aim to notify authors of our program decisions by late September.

Please contact the Colloquium coordinators, Marina Duque (marina.duque@ucl.ac.uk) and Matthew Pietryka (matthew.pietryka@gmail.com), if you have any questions or concerns.
